- Have lived in the UK for less than five years
Duration and Rights
Pre-Settled Status is valid for 5 years. Individuals with this status can:

- Work in the UK
- Study in the UK
- Access the NHS
- Apply for Settled Status after completing 5 years’ continuous residence
Maintaining continuous residence is important in order to qualify for Settled Status later.
